Are cell phones really important ?

Our generation is full of great technology and one of the most addicting pieces of technology is the cell phone. I can't say that I'm addicted to my phone because I can stop using it anytime I want. I mainly use my phone for entertainment like social media: Twitter, Instagram, Reddit. I also use my phone for calling and text but I barely use it for those purposes. So basically I use my phone for it to entertain me when I'm bored.
